Solomon Islands

Solomon Islands

Some of the fiercest naval battles during WWII occurred in the South Pacific. The Battle of Guadalcanal, Solomon Islands in 1943 was no exception. Hundreds of thousands of tons of warships, transporters, cargo vessels, submarines, and planes are strewn over the ocean floor - where it earned its name "Iron Bottom Sound"

Unfortunately most of these wrecks are way beyond recreational diver level depths. There are some shallower wrecks but have been pillaged by locals over the years. This is why we have focused our energy on the deeper wrecks, ranging from 40-80m. Conditions are normally good with crystal clear, warm, tropical waters  to contend with. You can also expect strong currents and occasional reduced visibility in some areas.
