TRUK LAGOON

WRECKS

Truk Lagoon GOSEI

GOSEI MARU

Coastal Freighter

The Gosei is a really shallow wreck. The bow is at the deepest point at 34m and slops towards the stern in shallow water at 6m. Prop have amazing life on it. In fact it is not really good to take pictures of it to show that it is a prop!!! But beautiful sponges on it though!

There are loads of torpedoes lying in the hold but are in really bad condition. The Heian has better torps!! The superstructure is really difficult to get into. but as they say, where theres a will..... The engine room is really tight but well worth it. Whole rows of tools on the wall.

The galley is good and also the toilets and bath areas. Viz is always a bit dirty after rain as it is so close to the shore.
