YES we are heading back to truk in 2011 because we had such a great time and its time you came along to enjoy these world class wrecks!!!! We are confirming the exact dates in July/Aug (looking at 29th July - 11 Aug but still yet to be confirmed) and also in 25th Nov - 8th Dec 2011. We have made this decision so much easier for you to make! Specially catering for rebreather diving enthusiasts technical and recreational divers alike. We offer one of the most comprehensively organized trips available today. What we focus on is taking the hassle out of your diving!!! We do all our diving through Blue Lagoon Dive Shop and stay at the Blue Lagoon resort. We work extremely closely with them so that you can enjoy extended dive times on these world class wrecks. So if you are a diver that wants more out of your diving then you will feel right at home here. With a max of 6 people per boat and 1 Boat per wreck we place people very carefully on boats that will be condusive to their level of training and experience ( So if you are an experienced recreational diver you wont be put onto a technical divers boat and have to wait hours for them to surface!!!! - They will have their own boat and be focusing on deeper less accessable wrecks!)

WHAT EXPERIENCE DO I NEED FOR THIS TRIP? Most people think that Truk is DEEP!!! Well, its not!! Over 50% of the wrecks within the Lagoon are shallower than 35m with the main superstructure round the 15-20m mark. Perfect for nitrox diving. It is our recommendation that your level of training is as minimum Advanced open water diver with some sort of formalised deep training and minimum of 50 logged dives. Bearing in mind that you will be diving within your training and experience levels. The only reason ( apart from your own health and safety) why we recommend more experience and training is so that you will benefit more out of your trip. Also Nitrox certification would be a great advantage seeing you will be spending most of your diving round the 15-30m mark.

We will be able to accomodate up to 30 rebreather divers at a time. So we will have all the cumbersome things that make your life a misery when travelling (tanks and sorb) ALL taken care of. We are even taking steps to import sufficient supplies of batteries (for inspos) and have spare parts available too - JUST IN CASE!!!! Whats more important is the fact that rebreather divers have greater needs than open circuit divers. Most operators dont understand this and get frustrated by having to wait long periods of time for divers to surface. On ALL our trips we are TOTALLY focused on accomodating rebreather divers. So in short if you want to do a 3 hour dive on a wreck - YOU CAN!!!! We just put you on a boat that will accomodate this so others arent having to wait for you!!! Check out our trips there, 2006, 2008. 2009

TECHNICAL OPEN CIRCIUT and TECH REBREATHER DIVERS One of the main reasons why I have dedicated the next 10 years to organising trips annually to Truk is for the sheer fact that there is SO much opportunity to dive untouched wrecks. With so many wrecks in the shallow waters of the lagoon, the deeper wrecks have been left untouched and undived by the dive guides simply because they dont need to take people to these areas. If you look at documention of the wrecks you will see just how little informtion is known about these ships. Something we are hoping to alleviate! On the last trip so much was uncovered and the pictures taken werer astounding. Whats more is that you can have the best of all worlds. What we normally do is do a deeper dive in the morning and in the afternoon spend some time on the shallower wrecks. What will tend to happen is you will want to go back to wrecks again and again! WHO ARE WE DIVING WITH AND WHERE ARE WE STAYING? Just click on the above link to see how well you will be looked after !!!!!
MEDICAL BACK UP AND SUPPORT Truk Lagoon is probably one of the most isolated destinations on the planet. Even though we are very lucky to have such a fantastic recompression chamber facility in Chuuk itself, the medical facilities are extremly sparce to say the leas t- a common thing for third world countries. As a result of this we have taken possitive steps to ensure everyones health and safety by bringing our very own Highly experienced Hyperbaric Physician - Dr. Simon Mitchell. We will have (exclusively for our groups) emergency medical equipment to handle most emergencies. Of course we cant take out your appendix but we will be prepared to respond. We also have an extensive medic kit to assist you with cuts and scrapes.
It is also MANDITORY on all our trips to have DAN diver emergency coverage. Click on the above link and you can see about the insurance options. So you can see that we are not only dedicated to ensuring that you will have a fantastic diving vacation, but also a safe one. !
HOW DO I BOOK A SPOT? Because people are coming diving with us from all over the world we are offering different options. Basically the one constant thing will be the land based diving and accom packages. All flights and travel will be through a flight centre company. We have some options for people if they want us to plan things for them so please contact us about this. If you are coming from England we are looking at the luggage allowance problems that face divers. And at this stage travel through Japan will be the best route of travel. But if you want to get to Truk the cheapest way then it will be through Malaysia. But watch your luggage allowance. Also this way you can book and pay for your flights as soon as you can, this will enable you to have the best possible prices. We will need a $500 US deposit to secure your spot for the diving. ALL bookings to go to PETE MESLEY.
If you want to be a part of this amazing trip then all you need to do is contact us. If you are in the UK or northern hemisphere then contact Leigh Bishop or contact Pete Mesley. Then we can talk to you in greater detail about these unique trips. Find out what you diving needs are, and talk to you about how you can maximise your enjoyment on the trip.
To secure your spot you will need to contact either Leigh or Pete and then we can get you sorted. We will then send you through all the details needed for your trip. And you are on your way!!
